The word Oblige means to do as someone asks or desires in order to help or please them.  It also means to be indebted or grateful.  When you choose Oblige Salon our goal is to accommodate your hair care needs to the best of our abilities.  We believe servicing our customer is a gift we are grateful to share.
​We believe that hair looks and feels it's best when it is cared for in its natural state or as close to the natural state as possible.  Using products that are plant based and close to the natural pH of your hair and scalp is the best way to achieve beautifully healthy hair.  Oblige salon is a team of educated stylists eager to share knowledge and help you to fulfill your hair goals.

Meet the Staff

Olivia Jewell - Owner/Cosmetologist
Olivia Jewell has had a desired to become a hair stylist for as long as she can remember.  After earning a bachelor's degree in business, serving in the military and working in corporate America, Olivia decided to focus her energy on her first love.  Olivia earned a cosmetology license from the Aveda Institute in San Antonio in 2013 and a master's degree in business in 2021 and opened Oblige Salon in November of the same year. She partnered with Aveda and is a member of the Aveda Texture team, where she teaches stylist how to care for curly hair textures. Olivia is passionate about developing cosmetologist in skill and professionalism in and out of her salon.

Aqueelah El Amin - Cosmetologist
Aqueelah is a gifted stylist with a determination to perfect her craft.  She joined the Oblige Salon team in 2022. After many years as a braider, Aqueelah became a cosmetologist in 2024.  Aqueelah is a graduate of Texas Women's University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. In addition to her cosmetology license, Aqueelah holds an associate's degree in business.  She specializes in protective styles and maintaining healthy hair.
